Composition of water-to-water heat exchanger unit

A water-to-water heat exchanger is a device used to exchange heat between water and water, operating on the principle of heat conduction. It primarily consists of a heat exchanger, a circulating pump, a water supply pump, a filter, a regulating valve, sensors, and a control system.High-temperature hot water (primary-side hot water) transfers heat to low-temperature hot water (secondary-side hot water) through heat exchange within the heat exchanger, raising the secondary-side hot water temperature to meet the user's heating or other heat needs. During this process, the primary-side hot water temperature decreases while the secondary-side hot water temperature increases, achieving heat transfer and utilization.

Structural composition of the heat exchanger unit:

1. Heat exchanger:

It is the core component of the heat exchanger unit. Common ones include plate heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers, etc.Plate heat exchangers have the advantages of high heat transfer efficiency, compact structure and small footprint; shell and tube heat exchangers have the characteristics of high pressure resistance and large processing capacity.

2. Circulation pump:

It is used to promote water circulation on the primary and secondary sides, so that hot water flows continuously in the system and ensures continuous heat transfer.

3. Make-up pump:

When the water level in the system drops due to leakage or other reasons, the water replenishment pump will automatically add water to the system to maintain normal operation of the system.

4. Filters:

Installed on the pipeline, it is used to filter impurities, particles, etc. in the water to prevent them from entering the heat exchanger and other equipment to avoid blockage and wear.

5. Control valve:

It includes flow regulating valves, pressure regulating valves, etc., which are used to adjust the flow and pressure on the primary and secondary sides to achieve temperature control and stable operation of the system.

6. sensor:

The main ones include temperature sensors, pressure sensors, etc., which are used to monitor the temperature and pressure parameters in the system in real time and transmit the signals to the control system.

7. Control system:

According to the signals collected by the sensors, the circulation pump, water supply pump, regulating valve and other equipment are controlled to achieve automatic operation and ensure the safe and stable operation of the heat exchanger unit

The application range of HVAC heat exchanger units is very wide. In the urban centralized heating network, water-to-water heat exchanger units convert high-temperature hot water generated by thermal power plants or boiler rooms into low-temperature hot water suitable for users, and transport it to various residential communities, commercial buildings and industrial enterprises to meet winter heating and domestic hot water needs. In some industrial production processes that require hot water as a heat source, such as the textile, printing and dyeing, food processing, chemical and other industries, water-to-water heat exchangers can convert high-temperature hot water into hot water that meets the production process requirements, providing heat support for the production process.
