Plate heat exchangers are a type of efficient and compact heat exchange equipment. Their core structure consists of a series of metal heat transfer plates with specific corrugated shapes, gaskets, clamping plates, and fasteners.During operation, two or more fluids at different temperatures flow in the channels on both sides of the plate, and the heat is efficiently transferred through the heat conduction of the metal plate, thereby achieving the process objectives of heating, cooling, condensation, evaporation, etc.Compared with traditional shell and tube heat exchangers, plate heat exchangers, with their unique plate structure design, significantly improve heat transfer efficiency and space utilization, making them key equipment for energy recovery and temperature control in industrial production and civilian applications.

 High-efficiency heat transfer

The plate surface adopts a corrugated design (such as herringbone or corrugated shape), which enables the fluid to form a strong turbulent state in the flow channel, breaks the laminar boundary layer, and greatly improves the heat transfer coefficient.With the same heat exchange area, the heat transfer efficiency is 2-5 times that of traditional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, which can significantly reduce equipment size and investment costs.

It adopts a plate stacking structure, which has a highly concentrated heat exchange area. The heat exchange area per unit volume can reach 200-1000㎡/m³, which is much higher than that of shell and tube heat exchangers (usually 10-100㎡/m³).This makes the equipment small in footprint and lightweight, easy to install, transport and maintain, and especially suitable for space-constrained scenarios.
