Plate heat exchanger standards
Plate heat exchangers are widely used in the market. They have a small number of parts and are relatively standardized and versatile. Therefore, everyone thinks that the manufacturing process of heat exchangers will also become simple. However, the actual situation is not the case

National Standards
Whether it is a large-scale manufacturer at home or abroad, they all have their own set of quality control standards. The technical standards of plate heat exchangers cover multiple levels of national standards and industry standards. The following are some of the main technical standards:
National Standard GB/T 28592-2022 "Plate Heat Exchanger": Detailed provisions on the design parameters, manufacturing processes, inspection methods, etc. of heat exchangers, covering the entire process from selection to factory inspection.GB/T 16402-2022 "Rubber Gaskets for Plate Heat Exchangers": It sets clear requirements for the material properties, dimensional tolerances, and temperature and pressure resistance of gaskets, and is an important basis for ensuring the sealing performance and service life of heat exchanger units.
GB/T 29466-2023 "Plate Heat Exchanger Unit": Specifies the terms and definitions, classifications and models, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of plate heat exchanger units.
Industry Standards:
Industry standard NB/T 47004.1-2017 "Plate Heat Exchangers Part 1: Detachable Plate Heat Exchangers": Specifies the design, manufacturing, inspection and acceptance requirements for detachable plate heat exchangers.
NB/T 47004.2-2021 "Plate Heat Exchangers Part 2: Welded Plate Heat Exchangers": Specific provisions are made for the design, manufacture, inspection and other aspects of welded plate heat exchangers.
JG/T 191-2023 "Urban Construction Industry Standard Plate Heat Exchanger": This is the industry standard for plate heat exchangers used in the HVAC field to meet the usage requirements under specific working conditions.

Technical requirements for the production of plate heat exchangers:
1.No pits exceeding the thickness of the steel plate are allowed on the surface. No scratches, indentations or other defects are allowed. Burrs generated by punching must be cleaned up.
2.The roughness of the working surface of the heat exchanger plate after stamping should not be lower than that of the original plate;
3.The deviation of the stamping corrugation depth should be less than 0.2mm, and the gasket groove depth error should be less than 0.2mm;
4.The thinning of the steel plate produced during the forming process is less than 3% of the actual thickness of the original steel plate;
5.The parallelism of the product base surface in any direction is less than 0.003mm.
Relevant quality requirements for HVAC heat exchanger gaskets:
The surface of the sealing gasket used in the customized heat exchanger is not allowed to have pits larger than 3mm or bubbles deeper than 1.5mm, or other quality defects in the sealing effect;
Relevant requirements for hydraulic test of plate heat exchanger:
Use water as the test medium and perform pressure tests on both sides of the heat exchanger. The pressure of the hydraulic test should ensure that there is no leakage under the design pressure of 1.25. After the test, drain the accumulated water in the equipment and blow it dry with air or let it dry naturally before sealing it.
